The camp is free and open to youth ages 7-14, and those participating will receive an event t-shirt and pizza courtesy of BJ's restaurant.
Lockett said he is looking to increase the number of participants from his first camp and has been spreading the word about the event on his Twitter and Facebook pages.
The only requirement, Lockett said, is for the participants is to bring cleats, shorts, and a great attitude.
“I hope to have more parents coming to support their children this year,” Lockett said. “That would mean a lot to me.”
Kurt Davies, Diamond Bar’s Athletic Director and Lockett’s former coach is appreciative of the return to Diamond Bar.
“Bret and I go way back,” Davies said. “I remember when he was just like the campers, and to see where he is now and pretty special.”
