Ridiculous Obstacle Challenge Coming to the Fairplex Saturday

The Ridiculous Obstacle Challenge (ROC) Race is coming to the Fairplex Saturday.

The 5K ROC Race will challenge individuals and teams to conquer more than 20 outrageous obstacles including foam climbs, swinging ropes over water, swinging boulders, cargo nets, harassing role players, inflatable slides and more. There will be live music, DJs, food vendors, booths featuring local businesses, and more.

The event is being coordinated by VAVi Sport and Social Club, and a portion of proceeds from the event will be donated to Movember, an awareness campaign that is aimed at bringing attention to cancers affecting men. Men looking to participate can go to movember.com, register, and then grow their mustaches out for the month of November.

“We chose Movember as our beneficiary because they not only raise awareness and funds for much needed cancer research, but they do it in a way that is fun and outrageous, just like Ridiculous Obstacle Challenge Race,” said Latane Meade, president of VAVi. “We look forward seeing thousands of men and women Movember supporters taking on obstacles and embracing their youth come November 5.”
