Armed Robbery Reported in Vacaville

Police this morning are investigating an armed robbery in Vacaville. The robbery occurred in the 900 block Merchant Street, police said.

The suspect is described as an Asian or Hispanic man in his late 20s, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 150 pounds.

The suspect was wearing dark blue pants, a sweatshirt and a mask. He was last seen in the area on foot, police said.

Police were actively searching for the suspect with helicopter and K9 units, but the search has since been called off. Police reported the robbery around 1 a.m.
