Bicyclist Struck, Injured In Solano Co. Hit-And-Run: CHP
BREAKING: The California Highway Patrol released a description Tuesday of the alleged hit-and-run driver's vehicle.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- A woman riding her bicycle was struck and injured by an alleged hit-and-run driver Sunday in unincorporated Solano County, and the California Highway Patrol is asking for the public's assistance in locating the driver. The collision that left a 49-year-old San Francisco woman with moderate injuries to her face and head happened at about 11:20 a.m. July 30 on Pleasants Valley Road, south of Quail Canyon Road, according to CHP Solano Area Spokesman David Harvey.
The victim was riding her 2016 Trek road bike southbound on Pleasants Valley, traveling approximately 15 mph, when a white full-size pickup truck pulling a 20- to 25-foot-long trailer heading in the same direction at about 30 mph failed to safely pass the bicyclist, striking her with the right side of the truck, Harvey said. The force of the collision ejected the woman from her bike and onto the roadway, according to CHP.
The woman was treated at Vaca Valley Hospital for the injuries she suffered.
