A big-rig carrying refrigerated carbon dioxide liquid is on its side on the shoulder of Interstate Highway 80 in Fairfield Saturday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officer William Ogilvie said officers responded just after 5 p.m. to a report of a big-rig truck on its side in the right-hand shoulder of the eastbound lanes on Highway 80 just west of Air Base Parkway.
Ogilvie said an ambulance was called to the scene as a precaution but the driver reported only minor injuries. He said the big-rig crashed into the guardrail and struck a fence near the freeway.

Ogilvie said the contents of the tank are contained and the company has been called to the scene so its staff can properly remove the vehicle.
A Sig-alert was issued at 5:15 p.m. because emergency vehicles are blocking the slow lane, Ogilvie said.
