Big Rig Overturns On Air Base Parkway at Peabody
BREAKING: The good news -- no one was injured. But traffic could be affected.
SOLANO COUNTY, CA –UPDATE: MONDAY, DEC. 5, 4:05 p.m.
A tractor-trailer hauling scrap metal overturned and blocked a Fairfield intersection this afternoon, a police sergeant said.
The unlicensed driver of the commercial big-rig was turning right from southbound Peabody Road onto westbound Air Base Parkway around 1:30 p.m. when the load shifted causing the tractor-trailer to overturn, Fairfield police Sgt. Matt Bloesch said.

No other vehicles were hit and no injuries were reported. The scene was still being cleared of debris as of mid-afternoon. Bloesch said.
The male driver was turning right too fast and he faces at least one citation of driving without a license, Bloesch said.

The traffic division is investigating the incident, he said.

A big rig overturned this afternoon along Air Base Parkway and Peabody Road, according to police, and is resulting in traffic issues.
The Fairfield Police Department advises drivers to avoid the area, if possible.
Traffic is being diverted around the crash scene as crews respond for clean-up.
"Good news, no injuries!" the agency added.
