BREAKING: Academic Surge Building Evacuated on UC Davis Campus
Occupants complained of a chemical odor.
The UC Davis Fire Department is reporting that the Academic Surge building has been evacuated because of a chemical smell.
The odor has been traced to epoxy applied to the floor. Steps are being taken to mitigate the issue, but there’s no word yet when the building can be reoccupied.
Workers in the building are being told to go home for the day.
