SOLANO COUNTY, CA – A Vacaville man died when his 2016 Dodge Dart crashed into the rear of a big-rig trailer on eastbound Interstate Highway 80 on Monday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP identified the driver as 54-year-old Chris White, who was driving east on Highway 80 east of Leisure Town Road in Vacaville around 1:50 p.m. when the Dodge drifted to the south shoulder.

The big-rig, which had a flat tire, was parked well off the road, and the driver had set out orange triangle markers, CHP Officer David Harvey said.
