Coroner IDs Woman Struck, Killed On I-80

The 32-year-old woman's car was parked on side of roadway. [Breaking]

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – A woman who was struck and killed by an SUV on Interstate Highway 80 in Fairfield on Saturday night has been identified as Camille Duncan, 32, of Elk Grove, according to the Solano County coroner's office.

The California Highway Patrol received a report around 9:50 p.m. of a pedestrian lying on westbound Highway 80 at Green Valley Road, Officer Davis Harvey said.

Duncan's white Chevrolet Lumina was found with its hazard lights activated while parked on the right shoulder of the road, Harvey said.

Duncan had walked into the lanes of traffic and was hit by a Toyota Highlander, CHP Officer Robert Koehne said this morning.

The Toyota driver stopped at the scene, Koehne said.

Duncan was pronounced dead at 10 p.m., according to the coroner's office.
