Deadly Crash on I-80 Near Dixon
Although the victim was wearing a seat belt, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 29-year-old Davis man was killed this morning in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 near Dixon in Solano County.
The man, whose identity has not yet been released, was driving west on the Interstate Highway 80 onramp to northbound State 113 at a high rate of speed when his vehicle drifted off the paved portion of the roadway and crashed into a tree, according to the CHP.
The driver was wearing a seatbelt, but he suffered fatal injuries in the crash.

He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred at 12:40 a.m.
The CHP is investigating if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
