DHS Football: Rams Spoil Marysville's Homecoming, Topple Indians 27-19

The Dixon High school football team is starting to win when it matters.

After losing their first six games of the season, the Rams stand near the top of the Golden Empire League standings after defeating Marysville on its homecoming night 27-19 Friday at War Memorial Stadium.

The victory for Dixon sets up a pivotal match-up with current GEL leaders Mesa Verde, who defeated Lindhurst 31-21 tonight. The Rams move to 2-1 after its defeat of the Indians, and Mesa Verde extends it's unbeaten streak in GEL play to 3-0.
