Dixon Student Arrested With Gun at Hall Memorial Park

According to the Dixon Unified School District, the principal of Dixon High got a report today around 9 a.m. that a student was at Hall Memorial Park with a gun.

Principal Nick Girimonte received the report from another student, officials said.

The school was immediately put on lockdown and police were called.

Officers soon arrived at the park, which is right next to Dixon High School, and found a student with a gun. That student was immediately arrested, officials said.

No additional details were released.

Additional administrative and counseling resources are on campus should students feel the need for additional support, school officials said.
