The California Highway Patrol responded to a fatal collision just east of Dixon on eastbound Interstate Highway 80 this afternoon. A solo vehicle collided with a pole on the righthand side of eastbound Interstate Highway 80 just east of Pedrick Road around 3 p.m., according to the CHP. A solo vehicle collided with a pole on the righthand side of eastbound Interstate Highway 80 just east of Pedrick Road around 3 p.m., according to the CHP. As of shortly before 5 p.m. the scene was clear but traffic remained slow in the area, CHP officials said.
