Heads Up On Recent Catalytic Converter Thefts in Dixon
Nine -- yes, NINE! -- swiped between Feb. 6-7.

From Dixon Police Department:
Between 2-6-2015 at 8 pm and 2-7-2015 at 6 am there were nine (9) separate incidents of catalytic converters being stolen from vehicles in the City of Dixon.
The locations were residential areas throughout the city. Eight of the vehicles were Toyota truck models (Sequoia and Tundra) and one a Dodge Ram.

Trucks, especially Toyota truck models, are most often targeted due to suspects having easy access to the under carriage of the vehicle from where they remove the catalytic converter.
It is recommended to park vehicles in the garage or a secured area. If that is not available then a well lit area is recommended.
