Inmate Found Murdered In Vacaville Prison
The 24 year old first was reported missing during a Monday evening head count, officials said.

An Alameda County man serving time for robbery in a state prison in Vacaville was killed Monday, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation officials said today.
The 24-year-old man, whose identity has not yet been released, was discovered missing around 4:30 p.m. Monday during the evening head count at California State Prison Solano at 2100 Peabody Road, prison officials said.
Prison officials conducted an emergency count and initiated escape protocols before the manβs body was found by a correctional officer in a confined space inside his housing unit around 9:30 p.m.

He appears to have been murdered, prison officials said.
The death is being investigated by prison officials, the Solano County coronerβs office and the state Office of the Inspector General. The victim was serving an eight-year sentence for second-degree robbery.
