SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- A Solano County Superior Court jury convicted a Vacaville man Friday of forcing an 8-year-old girl to perform sex acts with him until she was in high school, the Solano County District Attorney's Office said.

The assaults continued until the girl was in high school when her boyfriend prompted her to tell her mother in October 2015 about the abuse. The mother then contacted Vacaville police.

DNA analysis corroborated the girl's statements and Zamora gave conflicting accounts when interviewed by police. He eventually admitted committing the offenses, the district attorney's office said.
