The Rams come into their first GEL contest having scored 26 points over five non-league games this season, most recently being shutout in back-to-back games against Escalon 67-0, and Linden 42-0. Dixon ranks last in points scored and next to last in points allowed in the preseason by GEL teams.
Fortunately for the Rams (0-5), their league rivals -- Capital Christian, Mesa Verde and Marysville -- haven't fared much better, having recorded a total of four victories combined this year. Capital Christian has two and Mesa Verde and Marysville each have one. West Campus and Lindhurst are the other teams in the GEL that haven't recorded a win.

The Blazers (0-5) lost to Amador last week 34-28 and to Wheatland the prior week 27-14. The Blazers have scored 85 points this season, the second-highest total amongst GEL teams this preseason behind Marysville's 117.
