Rollover Crash Prompts Sig-Alert on I-80

DIXON, CA - The California Highway Patrol issued a Sig-alert briefly this afternoon for the westbound lanes of Interstate Highway 80 in Vacaville after a vehicle overturned and blocked lanes.

At 12:46 p.m., the CHP received a report of a vehicle that overturned on Frontage Road, rolled down a hill and landed on the highway near the Cherry Glenn Road off-ramp, according to CHP officials.

At least three lanes of the highway’s westbound lanes were blocked. By 1:33 p.m., CHP officials canceled the Sig-alert and all lanes of the highway were cleared.

CHP officials are investigating the accident and do not know if alcohol or drugs played a factor.
