
Police are investigating a shooting late Saturday night in Fairfield that left one man injured, a police sergeant said today.
Officers responded at 11:56 p.m. to a report of a shooting victim who was found near Edwards Fairfield Stadium 16 and IMAX, a movie theater located at 1549 Gateway Blvd., Fairfield police Sgt. Sam Rowland said.
Rowland said authorities found the man outside the theater with a gunshot wound but said it’s unclear whether that’s where the shooting actually occurred. The man was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive his injuries, Rowland said.
