Solano Co. School Superintendent To Receive Woman Of Year Award
Congrats to Lisette Estrella-Henderson, hailed for her community work by U.S. Congressman John Garamendi.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – Lisette Estrella-Henderson, Solano County Superintendent of Schools, was selected as one of U.S. Congressman John Garamendi’s 2018 Women of the Year, the Solano County Office of Education announced today.
The annual awards publicly honor outstanding women for their work and volunteerism in the third Congressional District, which includes Solano County, as well as the counties of Colusa, Glenn, Lake, Sacramento, Sutter and Yolo, officials said.
“There are so many deserving women that I have the privilege to work alongside with each day. I am humbled and astounded by this tremendous honor," Estrella-Henderson. said. "I have been an educator for over 33 years, and giving back and working toward improving the lives of our young people has been a way of life for me throughout my entire career and all of my work in Solano County.

The awards ceremony takes place Friday, Sept. 21 at Woodland Community College in Woodland.
