Solano County Parks Free for Vets This Week
The fee waiver means active-duty, veteran and retired military personnel can skip the usual $6 parking fee and $10 boat launch fee at parks.

Current and former military personnel and their families can enjoy Solano County parks without any boating or parking fees this week in honor of Veterans Day, according to county officials.
The fee waiver means active-duty, veteran and retired military personnel can skip the usual $6 parking fee and $10 boat launch fee at parks including Lake Solano County Park, Sandy Beach County Park, Belden’s Landing Boat Launch Facility and Lynch Canyon Open Space.
The waiver is available to both county residents and non-residents from Nov. 7 through Friday, Nov. 13.

Those participating must show valid military identification, honorable discharge record or Veterans Affairs identification card. Picnic areas open at 8 a.m. and are first-come, first-served.
Sandy Beach Park closes at 6 p.m. and Lake Solano Park at 4 p.m., but boat launch ramps at Sandy Beach Park and Belden’s Landing are open 24 hours a day.
