SWAT Team Training Planned Near Nut Tree Village

VACAVILLE, CA – The Vacaville Police Department’s SWAT and Critical Incident Negotiation teams will hold a joint training exercise Thursday from about 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Harbison House grounds located to the rear of the Nut Tree Village shopping center in Vacaville, officials said.

"While this particular area is not open to the public, shoppers may see an increased police presence in the area," police said. "All adjacent businesses have been notified, and appropriate signage will be in place indicating police training is occurring."

The department’s teams conduct realistic scenario-based training quarterly to ensure they are prepared in the event of any such real-life events, the department said.
