2 Fires Along WB 580 Contained: ACFD

Two small fires broke out around the same time Tuesday night near westbound 580 near Dublin.

DUBLIN, CA — Firefighters extinguished two fires Tuesday night that broke out around 580 near Dublin.

The first fire broke out just before 8 pm near westbound 580, east of Eden Canyon and Palomares roads, according to the Alameda County Fire Department.

The second fire broke out at around the same time on westbound 580, west of San Ramon and Foothill roads.

Crews from Alameda County, Cal Fire, Camp Parks, and the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department helped contain the fires to under two acres each by around 9:10 pm. No injuries or structure damage were reported, according to ACFD.

A SigAlert was issued and two nearby right lanes of westbound 580 were closed.

The incident remains under investigation by CalFire.
