LIVERMORE, CA — Shanti Winery & Event Center has opened on the historic, eight-acre Home Ranch property at 5443 Tesla Road, the new winery announced.
Named after the Sanskrit word for inner peace, this woman and minority-owned winery is built around peace, connection, and intentional living.
“We created Shanti as a place where people can slow down and reconnect with each other and with the experience of wine,” said co-founder Ray Sharma. “For us, it’s not just about what’s in the glass, but how people feel when they’re here.”
The Livermore estate spans eight acres, including more than 5.5 acres planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Barbera wines. Founders Ray and Dimple Sharma opened their first tasting room in Napa in 2012. As demand grew, the couple sought to put down roots closer to home in the Tri-Valley, and bought the Livermore property in 2024 with the intention of turning it into a winery and event destination.
Today, Shanti produces wines sourced from estate fruit and vineyard sites in Livermore, Napa and Sonoma. The winery said it plans to introduce estate-grown Livermore wines in the coming months.
The property is also designed to host tastings, private events and community programming. Shanti’s direct-to-consumer wine club offers quarterly shipments, preferred pricing and access to exclusive experiences, according to the announcement.
