San Ramon man dies in Memorial Day crash on Dublin Boulevard (pleasantonweekly.com) — A multi-vehicle crash on Dublin Boulevard in the downtown commercial district killed a 45-year-old San Ramon man and critically injured two others on Memorial Day afternoon, according to Dublin Police. Investigators say a speeding Lexus hit a Volkswagen Jetta, triggering a five-car chain reaction that required firefighters to use the Jaws of Life to free trapped motorists.    

2. These East Bay cities are throwing a major ‘Twist' festival in June (mercurynews.com) — Dublin residents can dive into the new Tri-Valley Twist festival June 5–7, with water fun at The Wave and other events spread across the Tri-Valley. From concerts and cuisine competitions to film, comedy, and car shows, many activities are free and designed to showcase each city’s unique culture and flavor.    

3. CEC Approves Third Major Clean Energy Project Under Opt-In Certification Program (ca.gov) — A major new battery energy storage project in eastern Alameda County will send nearly $1 million over 20 years to Tri-Valley nonprofits that support residents in Dublin and nearby cities. The California Energy Commission-approved project aims to boost grid reliability while funding groups like Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance, which channels grants to organizations improving life in Livermore, Dublin, Pleasanton, San Ramon, and Danville.    

4. Indiana And Texas Cities Take 5 Of The Top 10 Spots In New ‘Best Places To Live' Rankings (brobible.com) — Dublin earns a spot on U.S. News & World Report’s latest Best Places to Live list, standing out among top-ranked communities nationwide. The rankings weigh affordability, job market, quality of life, and desirability, putting Dublin in the company of highly rated cities across many states.
