DUBLIN, CA – Police are investigating a report of a bomb threat called into Dublin High School on Thursday afternoon, school district officials said. The call was made to the school at 1:45 p.m. Students were dismissed early and the campus was evacuated, according to school officials. Police spent several hours conducting a sweep of the school, which is located at 8151 Village Parkway. Police said no explosives were located.
Students and staff staged at nearby Kolb Park and Wheels buses were rerouted. School officials said families were notified of the early dismissal through the campus notification system and via social media. All Dublin High School events were canceled for the afternoon, which included games and practices.
"We utilized bomb dogs and unmanned aerial vehicles, or UAVs, to search the school and as of 4:30 p.m., the school was deemed clear of any explosive devices and re-opened," Dublin Police Services Captain Nate Schmidt told Patch.
