Camp Fire Critter Victims Rescued By Dublin, Oakland Shelters

After check-ups and respiratory recovery, these dogs and cats (including a mama and her 3 kittens) will need forever homes. Maybe yours?

DUBLIN, CA – A team from the East Bay SPCA traveled last week to the Camp Fire region's Northwest SPCA in Oroville to help evacuate animals in need and returned with seven large dogs, six cats, plus a mama cat and her three newly born kittens.

"We are happy to report all have safely arrived at our Dublin and Oakland locations and are adjusting well after medical examinations," officials said. "Many of the 17 animals are showing signs of respiratory distress and are being treated. Some are going to foster homes to help with their recovery and need more attention, love and time."

The dogs, cats and wee kitties are being prepared for adoption to "forever homes" with medical treatment, behavior assessment, socialization, nutrition, exercise and spay/neuter surgery if needed.
