Dublin Accepting Applications For Military Banner Program

DUBLIN, CA — The City of Dublin is accepting applications through March 31 to sponsor a banner honoring a local service member or veteran.

Banners will be displayed along Dougherty Road from Memorial Day to Veterans Day. Each customized banner will feature a photo of the honoree, along with their name, rank, military branch, and whether or not they are on active duty or a veteran. Honorees must either be a current resident of Dublin, have an immediate family member living in Dublin, or be a former Dublin resident with a demonstrated long-term, positive impact on the city.

Sponsorship costs $200 per banner, but payment is not required until after the application is approved. Financial assistance for banners is available. Applicants will need to verify military status, provide an official military photo, and proof of residence for themselves or family members. Former Dublin residents will be asked to detail the impact that the honoree had on the Dublin community.
