Dublin Police Donate $6,683 To HERS Breast Cancer Foundation

The funds raised from 'Pink Patch Project' were given to the Pleasanton/ Fremont non-profit organization, which supports local survivors.

DUBLIN, CA — Dublin police on Tuesday donated $6,683 to the HERS Breast Cancer Foundation of Pleasanton/Fremont. Chief Garrett Holmes and Capt. Nate Schmidt presented the check to the nonprofit during the city council meeting.

“It was our honor to raise funds for HERS Breast Cancer Foundation to support all individuals healing from breast cancer by providing post-surgical products and services regardless of financial status,” police said via Twitter.

The money was raised during the police department’s “Pink Patch Project” fundraiser in October of 2018. Residents were invited to purchase the patches at the police station for $10 apiece.
