Dublin Police To Ramp Up Staffing For July 4
Police remind the public that "safe and sane" fireworks may only be used at home.
DUBLIN, CA — The Dublin Police Department will have extra staff on hand in an effort to ensure a safe July 4 for the public.
The department also reminds the public that "safe and sane" fireworks will be sold from June 28 to July 4, but usage will only be permitted in single-family homes. Anyone who lives in a home overseen by a homeowners association must ask the HOA before igniting.
In years past, Dublin typically opened three or four city parks on July 4th from morning to night for residents to picnic then stay to set off their fireworks. The restrictions aim to ensure safety during the coronavirus pandemic.
