Dublin Schools Receive Non-Credible Bomb Threat
Dublin schools received a hoax email sent around the country that police deemed not credible, the district said.
DUBLIN, CA — Dublin Unified School District was one of many districts across the county and country to receive a hoax email threatening explosives inside the school, district spokesperson Chip Dehnert confirmed to Patch. No specific schools or names were mentioned in the email.
Pleasanton Unified School District received a similar email, which Pleasanton police also deemed not credible.
A DUSD staff member received an anonymous threat via email Tuesday morning, according to an email from Superintendent Chris Funk sent to district families. DUSD notified Dublin Police Services, who sent the following reply:

“Based on the numerous identical emails sent nationwide the threat has been deemed not credible and no further local law enforcement action will be taken. A report was completed documenting the threat. The Northern California Regional Intelligence Center is aware of the email and the matter is currently under investigation.”
DUSD spokesperson Capt. Gurvinder Gosal told Patch that school resource officers conducted patrol checks in each of their school sites.

Funk said the district has received similar emails in the past, all of which police deemed not credible. However, the district will contact the police each time they receive a new one.
No lockdowns resulted from the email, according to Dehnert.
