Dublin Seeks Volunteers For St. Patrick's Day Weekend

The city is looking for volunteers age 15+ to work mainly three-hour shifts on March 12 and 13.

DUBLIN, CA — The City of Dublin is seeking volunteers for its weekend St. Patrick's Day celebration on March 12 and 13.

Dublin's famed St. Patrick's Day celebration features three stages of Irish music and dancing, over 250 festival booths, Irish food and drink, and a parade.

The Shamrock 5K Fun Run and Walk is a 3.1-mile run/walk that typically draws about 2,000 participants. Two water stations are on course, and guiding signs and markers exist throughout the route. The first three finishers in each age group in the Competitive Division will receive a medallion and a Dick's Sporting Goods gift certificate.

Volunteer shifts typically last three hours on either Saturday or Sunday. Volunteers can sign up for as many shifts as they want, and can work the festival, Shamrock 5K Fun Run, or both.

To sign up, visit volunteermap.org and select desired shift times. Volunteers must be at least 15 years old. Volunteers are asked to print and sign the volunteer waiver and bring it to their shift.
