DUBLIN, CA — A Dublin High School club raised nearly $1,000 to support Sierra Leone, Africa by collecting recycling from neighbors.
The school's ME to WE Club held a "Trick or Trash" event on Halloween and drove about Dublin, conducting contactless pick-ups of plastic bags containing recyclables. They cashed in at local recycling plants.
More than 11,000 recyclables were collected at the end of the day, said club President Shrey Raj.
