Dublin Teen Named 4-H State Ambassador

Sanjana Badami has been named a state ambassador and received a Diamond Clover Award for her work with youth leadership organization 4-H.

DUBLIN, CA - A senior at Dublin High School is serving as the California state ambassador for 4-H, a local chapter of the national youth leadership organization.

Sanjana Badami is the president of Dublin 4-H and her club’s ambassador to Alameda County. She was also one of six 4-H members in California to receive the Diamond Clover Award, the highest individual award a youth 4-H member can receive. She will represent 4-H to the state for the upcoming school year.

Badami has spent seven years with the club. During the time, she has served on the Youth Summit, led the Service Learning Committee Planning team, and attended the National 4-H Conference in Washington, D.C. She has worked on a number of service projects, including coat drives, food bank donations, organizing hygiene kits for homeless shelters, sock drives for young children, and more.

“I'm learning to be strong when faced with adversity and become a leader that is ready to face the challenges of the world,” she said in a statement.
