Dublin Townhomes Win Architectural Award

Residences in the Trumark Homes "Perch" development are first in the city to offer rooftop decks and earned KTGY Architecture top honors.

DUBLIN, CA – "Perch," a residential development in Dublin, was heralded Friday for its townhome community and architectural design at an annual Bay Area builders' industry gala.

The Oakland office of KTGY Architecture + Planning was honored at the 2018 Building Industry Association of the Bay Area’s Excellence in Home Building Awards program, taking top honors for "Community of the Year – Attached" and "Best Architectural Design of an Attached Home – under 2,000 SF" for the Trumark Homes' Perch neighborhood on Regional Street.

"These homes are the first to offer rooftop decks in Dublin, California, and were the inspiration for its name, Perch," company officials said. "Perch makes a bold statement in the blossoming regeneration of Dublin’s historic downtown core and creates a unique ownership opportunity for young professionals that work in the Bay Area."

The neighborhood, close to retailers and the West Dublin/Pleasanton BART station, will have 60 homes when completed.

Perch residences start in the $800,000s, and range from 1,521 to 1,758 square feet, with two to three bedrooms and two-and-a half to three baths. The three-story townhomes offer first-floor garages, second-story living and kitchen areas and third-floor bedrooms, plus the rooftop decks.

The deck, according to designers, "becomes the Perch from which homeowners and guests unwind and connect to the outdoors."
