Dublin Youths Donate Toys & Money To Those In Need
An eighth and ninth grader were able to raise hundreds of dollars and collect dozens of toys through a drive that they organized.

DUBLIN, CA — A ninth grader at Dublin High School and an eighth grader at Fallon Middle School collected 28 toys and $440 in cash donations that were distributed to Toys for Tots.
Adi Jain of DHS and Sriram Kannan of FMS have run toy drives for Luso American Credit Union for the past three years. This year, they distributed fliers to roughly 200 homes in their Dublin neighborhood, and collected donations five days later. They also conducted a food drive from Nov. 19-24.
Jain and Kannan collected a number of toys, ranging from Lego sets to drones. They gave the toys and money to Luso American, which then donated it to Toys for Tots.

Last year, the team collected $300 in cash and 34 toys, and the year before, they collected 182 pounds of food for Thanksgiving.
“We are super thankful for all the families who donated. It felt so good to see the variety of toys we collected and bringing joy to kids who otherwise may not have received any toys this Christmas,” Kannan said.
