Eagle Scout Award for Vedant Sagare
For his Eagle Scout project, his team put together 250 care packages for the Russo-Ukrainian War.
Vedant Sagare has qualified to become an Eagle Scout and received the award at an Eagle Scout Court of Honor held on August 26, 2024. Vedant is the son of Trupti and Shrinivas Sagare of Dublin, CA.
He is a member of Troop 904, sponsored by the John Knox Presbyterian Church. Thanks go to his Scoutmaster, Tim Gaddis for his dedication to scouting and help along the way.
Vedant has been active in Scouting and has held leadership positions as Scribe, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and Senior Patrol Leader. Vedant likes how scouting gives young kids unique experiences that many kids in this generation don’t get.

For his Eagle Scout project, his team put together 250 care packages for the Russo-Ukrainian War. These packages included emergency blankets, socks, utensils, and other supplies to help the people with their daily living. His team consisted of 6 helpers from his troop and 125 hours.
A letter from Ukraine stated “Thank you to …. Vedant for his work and sympathetic heart. For us, Ukrainians, support is important. We gratefully accepted kits for refugees. We have a city 100 km from the front line and evacuation is ongoing all the time. Tomorrow, I will send these packages to them. Have a Good Day, Elena Luchko”.

Vedant is a senior at Dublin High School, he loves to travel and is very involved with martial arts, where he has a Third-degree black belt, and was on the varsity track and field team.
His leadership is extensive, some of which include Founder of Phase I Research, a non-profit connecting students to universities to conduct research, Wellness Center Ambassador, Committee Board for Dublin Unified School District, Weightlifting Club president, placed 3rd in DECA for Roleplay at the California Career Development Conference, and others.
His life plans include continuing service to the community however make it international and bring them to countries which do not have that many opportunities. He would like to become an
entrepreneur and create a biotechnology company to help people with their healthcare
To earn the rank of Eagle Scout, a Scout must be active in their troop, provide leadership, earn 21 merit badges including the areas of citizenship, camping, communications, cooking and lifesaving or emergency preparedness as well as demonstrate that they live by the principles of the Scout Oath and the Scout Law. They must also plan, develop, and give leadership to others in a service project benefiting a religious institution, school, or community group.
