Extreme Cold Warning Issued In Dublin, 4-Day Local Rainfall Totals Released

Extreme cold is expected throughout the interior East Bay Friday morning, and temperatures could drop into the 20s.

DUBLIN, CA — Bundle up and crank up the furnace: Dublin is expected to see temperatures drop into the low 30s Friday morning. The National Weather Service placed Dublin and much of the interior East Bay under an Extreme Cold Warning from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday.

“Cold conditions will be hazardous to sensitive populations such as unhoused individuals. Cold conditions may damage or kill sensitive crops, plants, and vegetation if appropriate precautions are not taken. Prolonged exposure to the cold conditions will lead to hypothermia for people, pets, and livestock,” NWS said.

Residents are advised to ensure that portable heaters are working properly to avoid sparking a fire indoors, and to not use generators or grills indoors due to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
