Update: Grass Fire Controlled at Camp Parks

Firefighters responded to the fire around 1p.m.

Alameda County firefighters have controlled a grass fire in the Reserve Forces Training Area in Dublin Wednesday afternoon, a fire department spokeswoman said.

The blaze was reported shortly after 1 p.m. and smoke was visible throughout the Tri-Valley, said Alameda County fire spokeswoman Aisha Knowles.

Crews contained the blaze within an hour. Knowles said the fire burned 50-60 acres.

No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported, she said.

Camp Parks fire department and Cal Fire also responded to the blaze, according to Knowles.
