• Spare The Air Alert Issued In Dublin As Triple-Digit Heat Looms (patch.com) — Dublin residents are facing a Spare the Air Alert and triple-digit heat today, with air quality expected to be unhealthy for sensitive groups. Locals are urged to limit driving, shift outdoor activity to early morning, and use cooling centers at the Dublin Senior Center and Dublin Library to stay safe. The heatwave follows a cooler stretch and is pushing temperatures across the Tri-Valley toward or above 100 degrees.
   

• Splatter fun in Dublin this weekend (pleasantonweekly.com) — Dublin's big Splatter festival is taking over Emerald Glen Park this Saturday, Sept. 12, with free admission, live music, multicultural performances, and a new Color Dash fun run. Expect food trucks, local wine and craft beer, kids' rides, student art at The Wave, and limited on-site parking with a shuttle from the East County Hall of Justice lot.
