Help Identify Suspected Dublin Package Thief
Do you know this woman or this car? Police are looking for her.

DUBLIN, CA: Police officials are asking for the community’s assistance identifying the suspect and car shown in this video.
Dublin Police Services Captain Garret Holmes said the female suspect was caught on camera as she swiped a package off of a porch in a neighborhood near the Hacienda Crossings shopping center on April 20.
In the video, a dark-colored Range Rover parked in front of the home, and the female suspect exited the passenger side of the car, grabbed the box off of the porch and went back to the vehicle.

Similar package thefts involving a dark-colored Range Rover have been reported in the unincorporated areas of Danville, according to a report in the Danville San Ramon News. Holmes says investigators believe the incidents are related.
Contra Costa Sheriff's officials have not yet been reached for comment.

In an effort to curb the recent increase in residential burglaries occurring throughout the east side of Dublin, police have increased patrols and met with neighborhood watch teams in March, Dublin Police Lieutenant Nate Schmidt said in a previous Patch article.
The number of property crimes--home burglaries, car burglaries, packages stolen from doorsteps--in the Tri-Valley has soared over the past year, frustrating residents and prompting police departments to urge everyone to “call early and often” if something seems amiss.

Police officials want to help protect residents from being victimized. Police urge the community to be vigilant and recommend residents call to report any suspicious activity to police. Residents should always lock doors and windows.
