KTVU's 'Zip Trips' Special Highlights Dublin
Anchors crisscrossed the city and even took a plunge down a waterslide in an hour devoted to the city.

DUBLIN, CA — Anyone who visited The Wave water park on Aug. 12 got more than just free or half-price admission. They also got to see KTVU newscaster Frank Mallicoat plunge down the infamously steep Emerald Plunge waterslide.
Mallicoat took the plunge to round out KTVU’s “Zip Trips,” an hour-long special focusing only on Dublin. Mallicoat worked with anchors Gasia Mikaelian, Sal Castaneda and Claudine Wong to travel all around the city and find out what makes the city tick.
The second hour-long special devoted to Dublin in less than a month covered all the bases, including:

- “Taste of the Town” trips to Casa Orozco and Amakara.

- A performance of Dublin High School’s school song “Fight On” with the Irish Guard marching band.
