DUBLIN, CA — A new grocery store will soon be open in the Fallon Gateway Shopping Center in Dublin. Lucky California will celebrate its grand opening on March 14. The store will feature a coffee bar, a grab-and-go section, and a Golden Gate market area with items from the Bay Area. The store is currently hiring.
PetSmart, which is located next door, celebrated its grand opening in Sept. of 2017. Lucky California is located at 2840 Dublin Blvd.
A new build-your-own-burger franchise restaurant opened in the Stoneridge Shopping Center. The Counter Custom Burgers celebrated its grand opening on January 29. The burger eatery will offer burgers, milkshakes, salads, bowls, cocktails, beer and wine.

Handles Gastropub in Pleasanton has closed. The popular restaurant and bar recently shuttered leaving only a thank you note on the glass doors of the building and Facebook page and the word "closed" on their website. Dean's Cafe was abruptly closed after it failed a routine health inspection on Feb. 6. It remains closed but could reopen if it passes the next inspection.
In Livermore, a new bistro-style eatery will be opening this year. Range Life, which will be in the located in the building formerly occupied by Charlotte's Web, will feature season menu items, craft cocktails, and bakery items.
