Motorcyclist Suffers Serious Injuries During Dublin Crash

Police said the rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

DUBLIN, CA — A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital following a collision in Dublin Saturday night, police said. The crash was reported on Brighton Drive at Lucania Street about 8:30 p.m. The 42-year-old man was taken to a hospital to be treated for severe head injuries as a result of the collision, according to police.

Police said the rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Although the man is in the Intensive Care Unit, he is expected to survive, police said. No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The cause of the collision is under investigation and police said they do not yet know if drugs or alcohol were a factor.
