Team 7419 QLS Tech Support, qualified to advance to the World Championship after winning the Silicon Valley Regional Tournament.

The Quarry Lane School high school robotics team, 7419 QLS Tech Support, qualified to advance to the 2022 FIRST® Robotics World Championship after winning the FRC Silicon Valley Regional tournament. Widely recognized as one of the Bay Area's top robotics tournaments, the Silicon Valley regional gathered some of the best, top-rated teams across the country to compete at The Event Center at San Jose State University on April 9th and 10th.
The Quarry Lane team displayed significant improvement from their previous tournament, the Sacramento Regional, and showed impressive capability picking up cargo and shooting accurately and quickly into the goal while consistently climbing to the traversal (highest) rung. Additionally, with their alliance partners, Team 254, the Cheesy Poofs and the Team 1678, Citrus Circuits, the team set a new world record of 179 points.
“I was very proud of our team exhibiting team spirit cheering on the drive team during the matches,” says Quarry Lane robotics faculty mentor/coach, Leon Cox. “In the pits, our students conducted themselves very professionally when visiting competitor booths gathering information. It was so great to see all the hard work building and testing the robot pay off.”
