Sensational Youth Orchestra's Second Concert
Symphonic music concert in Dublin by local youth led by international musicians

New youth Orchestra Gradus ad Parnassum of Tri-Valley is in its inaugural season and made an impressive debut in November. Many professionals noted unprecedented level of musicianship thanks to international musicians - Music Director Imant Kotsinsh and Artistic Director Temirzhan Yerzhanov.
The second concert will be held on Sunday, February 28, 6PM at the brand new Dublin High School Center for the Performing Arts & Education, 8151 Village Parkway, Dublin, CA 94568.

Latvian-American conductor Imant Kotsinsh is a prominent artist in his native country and abroad. His talent and experience brought him a recognition that propelled him to several resident conductor positions with such orchestras and companies as The Bolshoi Theater, Monterey Symphony and Symphony of New Russia. Mr Kotsinsh had many guest appearances with Moscow Philharmonic, The National Latvian Symphony, Gyunggi Philharmonic, Symphony Orchestra of Russia, Perm Tchaikovsky Opera, Chişinău National Opera, National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine, Latvian Opera and more than two dozens of other orchestras and companies. As a Music Director he led such orchestras as Daugavpils Symphony, Yaroslavl Philharmonic and National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan.
Violinist and violist Igor Veligan is a prominent chamber musician who has performed with L’Estro Armonico String Quartet, Harlequin String Quartet, Argenta Trio and Chamber Music Society of Sacramento. His credits also include concertmaster or principal viola positions with San Francisco Choral Society, Reno Philharmonic, Lake Tahoe Summer Festival, Monterey Symphony and Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestras.
A graduate from Odessa State Conservatory, Ukraine, he studied violin and chamber music with Zoya Istomina, Galina Gritzenko, Oleg Shkarpitnuy, Natalya Buzanova, and in master classes with Zakhar Bron, Liana Isakadze and Igor Frolov. Currently he teaches at American River College and Pacific University Conservatory of Music.
