Tri-Valley Celebrates Bike to Work Day
More than 580 Tri-Valley cyclists participated in the annual event.
DUBLIN, CA: Thursday marked the 22nd year of Bike to Work Day in the Bay Area. More than 580 Tri-Valley cyclists participated in the annual event by visiting the two “Energizer Stations” set up at both Dublin/Pleasanton BART stations.
Staff from the Cities of Dublin and Pleasanton, as well as Hacienda, Bike East Bay, and REI Dublin hosted the stations, which offered refreshments, t-shirts, and bags filled with giveaways and coupons from local sponsors. Technicians from Dublin Cyclery were also available to offer bike tune-ups for participants.
Dublin City Councilmember Don Biddle was on hand to greet cyclists. Businesses throughout the Tri-Valley contributed to the effort by donating refreshments, gift cards, coupons, and other bike-related giveaways.
