Tri-Valley Gets 2 New CHP Officers
Julio Rebolledo Davila and Amandeep Singh were among 82 officers who graduated from the California Highway Patrol Academy last month.

DUBLIN, CA — You might see two new faces patrolling Tri-Valley's state roads.
Officers Julio Rebolledo Davila and Amandeep Singh have joined Dublin's California Highway Patrol unit after graduating from the CHP Academy Jan. 24 in Sacramento. Rebolledo Davila and Singh were among 82 officers who graduated from the six-month, para-military academy after learning about enforcement tactics and driving, collecting evidence, weapons, legal procedures, investigating accidents, getting involved in the community and more, CHP said in a statement.
Davila, born in Guadalajara, Mexico, lives in the Central Valley and has a background in construction, agriculture and trucking. He holds an associate degree in arts from ITT Tech, CHP said.

Singh, born in Punjab, India, is a second-generation police officer, following in his dad's footsteps. He lives in the Central Valley, is a certified welder and has also worked in sales, CHP said. Singh studied at Columbia College in Sonora.
CHP Dublin Capt. Christopher Sherry said he's proud of the newly minted officers, who are living the American dream.

"Both men were not born in the United States, and came to California at young ages. They have persevered, developed their values and character, and they have made the decision to join our noble profession," Sherry said in the statement. "It will be exciting to see them serve our community."
