Two Arrested in Connection with Large Marijuana Grow Houses in San Ramon, Dublin
Police say 700 marijuana plants were seized and a Union City man and a San Leandro woman were arrested.

Nearly 700 marijuana plants were seized and two people were arrested this morning when police served search warrants at homes identified as grow operations in San Ramon and Dublin, police said. At 7:15 a.m., San Ramon police served simultaneous search warrants at a home in the 3100 block of Wrangler Road in San Ramon and another home in the 4700 block of Travertino Street in Dublin.
The execution of the search warrants, which police said followed a lengthy investigation, reportedly led to the discovery of sophisticated pot grow operations with just under 700 marijuana plants. In the Dublin home, two suspects were arrested, police said.
Dublin police assisted in the arrest of Jing Xue Huang, 41, a male resident of Union City and Chu Dan Zhang, 25, a female resident of San Leandro. At both residences, PG&E power sources were manipulated in an effort to avoid detection and payment for excessive power usage, police said.

Based on information obtained during the search of the homes, a follow-up search warrant was executed at 11:10 a.m. at a residence in the 6000 block of Old Quarry Loop in Oakland, police said.
According to police, evidence in that home connected the arrested suspects to the cultivation locations. Police said the suspects were arrested on suspicion of marijuana cultivation and conspiracy and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility.
