The Eagle Rock High School Alumni Association presented the prestigious "Soaring Eagle" awards Saturday to a group of honorees at  the Women's Twentieth Century Club of Eagle Rock.

Nearly 200 people attended the 2013 Gathering of Eagles dinner. This year's honorees included longtime Eagle Rock physician Ralph Boy and his wife Dottie; ERHS grads and association treasurer Art Shively and his sister Sharon; current teacher/coach Drew Lord and wife Janet.

The ER cheerleaders entertained attendees with nostaligic school yells, and were followed with an opening welcome by event chair Carol Matheson Varner(W-56). Eagle Rock High School Principal Salavador Velasco gave a State of the School address to the gathering, summing up the school's achievements.
